Description
UCL School of Management is delighted to welcome Beril Toktay, Scheller College of Business, to host a research seminar discussing ‘Implications of extended producer responsibility.’
Abstract
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a policy tool that holds producers financially responsible for the post-use collection, recycling and disposal of their products. It has been used for durables such as electronics products, and it is being adopted for consumables such as prescription medicine. This talk draws on several papers to discuss the implications of EPR implementation choices on product design, network efficiency and social welfare outcomes.
