Description

It may surprise you to know many job opportunities for graduates are not even advertised and that most jobs secured by graduates are not on a graduate programme. Job-seekers often gain short term satisfaction from applying for jobs online, only to realise that their application is one of thousands when they hear nothing back.

The Two Hour Job Search explains how to run an effective network job search, without it taking up every waking hour.  You will learn how to define your priority target employers, and how to create connections that will act as internal advocates for you, maximising your chances of success in a large graduate job market that many people don’t even know exists.

By the end of the session you will be able to:

  1. Develop an understanding of how the hidden job market operates
  2. Understand how to develop a target list of priority employers
  3. Learn how to initiate contact and follow-up
  4. Develop an understanding of how to prepare for and conduct informational interviews
