Description

Do you want to learn how to make the most of your technical skills to succeed and move forward in your career?

The session will focus on how to leverage a ‘superpower skill’ to boost your career and why data-driven analysis is one of the most valuable skills to have in a non-technical role at the moment. We will be joined by SoM Alumni Adrian Cheng (Amazon), who will also touch on why technical skills alone are not enough to succeed and how as you move forward in your career, having a strong technical background can also be a liability for you if you don’t manage it correctly.

Adrian (IMB’17) is a Senior Product Manager at Amazon, where he is working on the launch of an innovative logistics solution for 3rd Party Sellers. In the 3 years that he’s worked at Amazon, he’s been in a number of different roles - Sales, Business Analyst, Program Manager and Product Manager.

By the end of the session you will:

  1. Have a deeper understanding of SQL and Tableau
  2. Gain valuable insight it to how to leverage those in a non-technical role to boost your career
  3. Identify practical ways to impact your career and tools that will drive success

Special guest speaker joining us next week is:

Adrian Ho Kiu Cheng - Senior Product Manager at Amazon
