UCL School of Management welcomes back Kenny Skelton and Louis Georgiou, creators of generative AI tool 'Sidekick' at EssenceMediacom, to present at the New Technology Innovation Speaker Series on Tuesday 25 March. Open to the entire UCL community, we'd like to invite you to come along to Canary Wharf, connect with these leading industry professionals and build on your knowledge on artificial intelligence.
As businesses continue to grow and face an increasingly competitive market, many are now adopting generative AI to streamline operations and to stay ahead of their competition. While organisational change can be slow, costly and complex, generative AI offers an opportunity to provide new tools that will aid in employee productivity, capability and creativity boosts. Recognising this opportunity Kenny Skelton and Louis Georgiou from EssenceMediacom, who both share an extensive history in leadership roles within the digital design space collaborated to compose ‘Sidekick’, a generative AI tool that improves the overall staff productivity and aids with managing workloads and their day to day tasks. Launched in 2023 in EssenceMediacom's Manchester branch, it showed rewarding results and gained traction shortly after, expanding across the UK with 1,500 users. By March 2025, Sidekick has over 12,000 registered users and has been integrated into all of EssenceMediacom's offices, which are located across 53 countries.
On the night, Kenny and Louis will be sharing their insight on the following:
- Their journey into creating and integrating a generative AI tool into their workplace
