On Tuesday 20 May, UCL School of Management Assistant Professor Anil Doshi welcomed more than 50 doctoral students to One Canada Square for the first-ever AI Plus Management Doctoral Consortium. Co-organised with University of Exeter Professor Oliver Hauser, University of Oxford Professor Pinar Ozcan, and University of Warwick Professor Hila Lifshitz, the event centred upon the implementation and integration of AI and the ways in which organisations can address key issues surrounding the use of artificial intelligence.
Throughout the day, doctoral students delivered a total of 22 talks on a diverse set of topics, including interactions with AI Chatbots and their influences on risk perception and the influence of Generative AI on innovation outcomes. Speakers also addressed gender biases in AI-augmented negotiations, ethical considerations on the implementation and integration of AI, and the impact of regulation on firm innovation in privacy technologies.
With doctoral students attending from 11 countries, the event provided an excellent opportunity to not only explore multiple facets of AI, but also covered the major disciplines of management studies. We’d also like to extend a sincere thanks to UCL School of Management doctoral students Sam Quinto and Jingze Wang, who supported with the organisation and execution of the Consortium on the day.
