UCL School of Management’s Finance, Accounting, and Economics team won three awards at the 2019 Global Conference on Business and Finance.

The conference, which took plase in San Jose, Costa Rica, provides an excellent opportunity for the academic and business communities to share cutting-edge research in all areas of Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Economics, Education, AgriBusiness and related fields.

Lynsie Chew, Senior Teaching Fellow and Programme Director (MSc Professional Accountancy), alongside Alan Parkinson, Deputy Director (Education) and Professorial Teaching Fellow, picked up the ‘Best in Session Award for presentation of a paper: Using a Simulation to Engender Constructivist Pedagogy in a Global Online MScProgramme: Student Perceptions of its Effectiveness.’

Both the second and third awards of the evening, ‘Best in Session Award for presentation of a paper: From One Financial Crisis to Another: Does History Repeat Itself?’ and the ‘Outstanding Research Award’, went to Leila Pinto Campillo, Teaching Fellow and Programme Director (MSc Finance), as well as Alan Parkinson.
