Biography

Ramazan is a PhD student of Operation and Technology at UCL School of Management. His research focuses on online crowdsourcing platforms. He holds an MS (2018) in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University and a BS (2016) in Industrial Engineering with a double major in Economics from TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Turkey. 

Prior to joining UCL, he worked in G20 and IMF Department of Turkish Treasury (2014-18). He was a member of G20 Digital Economy Task Force and G20 Trade and Investment Working Group. He also worked in International Capital Markets Department for 6 months where he worked on implementation of more than $3 billions worth of Eurobond transaction.

His research agenda is centered on the intersection of platform economies and behavioral operations management, focusing broadly on the dynamics of innovation contests. This area of study encompasses a comprehensive examination of how individual behaviors within these contests influence overall outcomes. The goal is to systematically uncover and understand the key mechanisms that drive successful innovation across various contexts.
