Biography

Yihan Xu is a predoctoral research assistant at University College London (UCL). Prior to joining UCL, Yihan earned an M.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Financial Mathematics and Financial Engineering (with First Class Honours) from Shandong University.

Drawing on technically rigorous training, Yihan contributes to faculty-led research at UCL by deriving and formalizing structural models and implementing them as reproducible code. His research interests lie in macro-finance and market microstructure, with a focus on how heterogeneity in beliefs, information, and institutional constraints at the micro level aggregates into macroeconomic outcomes.
