Sophie is an Assistant Professor in the Organisations and Innovation Group at University College London School of Management. She received her Ph.D. in Management from Columbia Business School in May 2023. Sophie’s research focuses on the dynamics of culture - a shared system of norms, values, and beliefs that characterize a group, an organization, or a society - with implications for gender and racial inequality, innovation, and entrepreneurship. With computational methods such as machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, she leverages big data to better understand human behaviors in social and organizational settings.
