Duties and Responsibilities

UCL Careers is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to support the career development of students on the BSc Information Management for Business programme within UCL School of Management. Developed in close collaboration with some of the UK’s most well-known companies, the BSc Information Management for Business (IMB) is a pioneering degree programme offering a distinctive balance of IT, Management, and Business. Alongside the development of analytical tools and modelling skills appropriate to the business applications of IT, the IMB degree is designed to develop graduates who are independent thinkers and confident and creative problem solvers who are ready and able to contribute to the next wave of business transformation. 

Reporting to the Senior Employer Engagement Officer, the main purpose of this role will be to plan, organise and deliver a programme of bespoke careers support, including activities and events which will enable students to build their professional network, improve soft/technical skills and business acumen, and demonstrate professional skills more effectively to potential employers. Careers activities could include, but are not limited to, panel events, workshops, networking events, internships or student consultancy projects.

The post holder will build and maintain excellent professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including academic programme directors, students, employers and alumni, to ensure that employer-led activities are responsive to student requirements.

The position is part-time, 21.9 hours per week (0.6 FTE), initially for a 12-month period with the possibility of extension.
