Research Assistant in Finance, Accounting and Economics

About the role

The UCL School of Management is seeking a research assistant who can provide support to researchers working on projects within the subject areas of Organisation & Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Analytics, Operations & Technology and of Finance, Accounting & Economics. The post will initially be offered for a period of 12 months starting from September 2024 until August 2025 with the intent to extend this for a further 12 months thereafter if the postholder has successfully met the requirements of the role. The start date is flexible. The postholder will assist professors at various stages of research projects.

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following criteria:

  • An MSc in a social science, economics, engineering, statistics, and/or computer science
  • The ability to programme in one language is required (Experience with MATLAB and STATA is desirable, but not essential)
  • Mathematical training in order to check proofs is essential
  • Motivation to pursue a PhD or academic career in finance or economics in the future
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
