Biography

Allen is a seasoned professional with diverse experience globally. He worked for a consultancy and hedge fund in London, BlackRock in New York, private equity fund in Shenzhen and now one of the largest asset managers in China. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a passion for macroeconomics, multi-asset investments, corporate strategies, and innovation. 

Allen earned a MBA degree with distinction from UCL-PKU MBA programme, a bachelor degree with honours in Economics from University of Bath, and two certificates from Harvard Business School. During his MBA studies, he successfully initiated and led a student-run club in Beijing. Under his leadership, the club organized over 80+ events in China, including seminars, workshops, debate competitions, conferences and networking events. This initiative also helped to strengthen the ties between the university and local businesses, creating valuable networking opportunities for the alumni and current students.

Allen’s engagement with the AAC is driven by a desire to build a robust and interactive network for UCL SoM alumni residing outside the UK. He aims to cultivate an environment that encourages knowledge sharing, fosters connections, and stimulates the exchange of ideas.
