Fathima Rakeeb is a Lecturer in Accounting (Education) at UCL School of Management. She has previously held academic positions at the University of Leicester, Queen Mary University of London, and Kingston University London, where she also completed her PhD in Accounting and Finance. Before transitioning into academia, Fathima worked as a management accountant in the healthcare sector. She is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her teaching is student-centred, inclusive, and research-informed, with a strong focus on linking theory to real-world practice. Prior to joining UCL, she held several academic leadership and management roles, including Engagement Lead for the School of Accounting and Finance at University of Leicester.
