Biography

Nicolás Rebolledo is a design strategist, practitioner and academic who has work as an independent strategic design consultant for a diverse range startups, private companies, charities and public organisations. He is Adjunct Teaching Fellow for Prototyping at the School of Management of University College London (UCL), and Visiting Lecturer on Service Design at the School of Design of the Royal College of Art (RCA). Currently he is advisor for strategic design and innovation projects at Laboratorio de Gobierno, the first Public Service Innovation Laboratory inside the Chilean Government.

Architect from the Catholic University of Chile (2004), holds a MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship from University College London (2012) and is completing a PhD in Service Design at the School of Design of the Royal College of Art. His research is about the role of design in public innovation, policy design, digital services and urban service systems with the purpose of understanding how design is used in public innovation processes and how can impact both government transformation and the emergence of new service ecosystems.
