Youngbeom Kim is a PhD student at UCL School of Management in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship group. His research examines corporate strategy in digital platform markets, with a current emphasis on how platform firms expand their scope into new products and markets.

He holds a BA in Business (2020) and an MSc in Managerial Economics (2024) from Yonsei University, Korea, and an MRes in Management from UCL School of Management (2025). Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked in trade policy and business facilitation at the Korean International Trade Association.
